3 Axis Gantry Boring Mill
Product Description
When you're machining large plates, frames, molds, or other oversized metal parts, machine size and stability become just as important as cutting performance. This 3 axis gantry boring mill is built for that kind of work. Its gantry-style structure provides a wide machining area, while the X, Y, and Z axes give the cutting head precise movement across large workpieces. With table sizes ranging from 2500 × 6000 mm to 6000 × 16000 mm, the series is designed for heavy-duty machining where a conventional CNC boring machine simply does not offer enough working space.
The JGM series includes JGM2560T, JGM3080T, JGM40100L, JGM50120L, JGM50120D, and JGM60160D models. Depending on the configuration, X-axis travel reaches 16,500 mm and Y-axis travel reaches 7,800 mm. Selected models can handle a distributed table load of up to 25 t/m². With spindle speeds up to 2,000 rpm, spindle power up to 81 kW, and torque up to 10,000 Nm, the machine is suitable for large-part machining in heavy equipment, energy, shipbuilding, mold making, and other demanding industries.
Product Features
Gantry Structure for Large Workpieces
The fixed gantry layout gives the machine a stable working platform and makes full use of the available floor area. Unlike smaller machining centers, this 3 axis gantry boring mill is designed around large components from the start. The X-axis moves the machining head horizontally, the Y-axis provides cross movement, and the Z-axis controls vertical movement.
Depending on the model, the effective gantry width ranges from 4,000 to 7,500 mm, providing plenty of room for wide workpieces.
Long Axis Travel
Large components often require long machining strokes, and this is where the JGM series stands out. X-axis travel ranges from 6,500 mm to 16,500 mm, while Y-axis travel reaches up to 7,800 mm. Z-axis travel is available from 1,250/1,500 mm up to 2,000/2,500 mm depending on the model.
Selected configurations also include a W-axis with 1,500–2,000 mm or 2,000–3,000 mm travel for additional machining flexibility.
Powerful Spindle for Heavy Cutting
The machine uses a spindle cross-section of 500 × 500 mm on standard configurations and up to 600 × 600 mm on larger models. Spindle speed ranges from 10 to 2,000 rpm. Main motor power is 58 kW on the smaller and mid-size models and 81 kW on the JGM50120D/JGM60160D configurations.
Maximum spindle torque reaches 3,600 Nm on several models and up to 10,000 Nm on the larger machines, giving the cutter enough power for demanding boring and milling operations.
Built for Industrial Materials
The machine structure is designed for rigidity and long-term operation under heavy machining conditions. Major structural components are manufactured to provide stable support for the gantry, spindle, guideways, and moving assemblies. It can be used for common engineering materials such as carbon steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and other metal components, with tooling and cutting parameters selected according to the actual material and machining job.
Flexible Guideways and CNC Control
Depending on the model, linear guideways or hydrostatic guideway configurations are available. CNC systems include FANUC 0i, Siemens 828D, and optional FANUC 31i or Siemens ONE configurations. Tool capacity starts at 40 tools, with 60, 80, or 100-tool options available.

Why Choose This 3 Axis Gantry Boring Mill?
Designed around large parts:
The extra-long X-axis and wide Y-axis provide the working area needed for oversized components without forcing the operator to break the job into multiple setups.
Strong machining performance:
Up to 81 kW spindle power and 10,000 Nm torque on larger models give the machine plenty of cutting capacity for heavy-duty applications.
Stable gantry construction:
The wide gantry structure helps support the machining head during large-part boring and milling, helping maintain consistent machining performance.
Flexible machine sizes:
Six models cover a broad range of table dimensions, travel requirements, and load capacities, making it easier to match the machine to the actual workpiece.
Good setup efficiency:
Large components can be positioned directly on the worktable, reducing the need for repeated repositioning compared with smaller machines.
Multiple configuration options:
Guideway type, CNC system, milling head, tool capacity, and other machine details can be selected according to the customer's production requirements.
