Product Description

Large and heavy workpieces often need more than a standard milling machine can offer. A planer type horizontal boring milling machine is built for this kind of job, combining horizontal boring and milling capabilities with a large working area, long axis travel, and strong cutting performance. It is well suited for machining large machine bases, structural parts, heavy equipment components, molds, and other oversized metal workpieces where stable positioning and consistent accuracy are important.

The JPB and JHC series are available with 130 mm and 160 mm spindle diameters. Depending on the model, the machine can handle workpieces weighing up to 20,000 or 30,000 kg. With X, Y, Z, U, W, and B-axis movements, including 360° table rotation, operators can reach different machining positions without constantly moving the workpiece. The machine is also available with Siemens 828D or FANUC 0i CNC systems for easier operation and reliable production control.

Product Features

01/

Large Spindle for Boring and Milling

The JPB130R and JHC130R models use a 130 mm spindle, while the JPB160R and JHC160R models are equipped with a 160 mm spindle. All models use an ISO 50 spindle taper and offer spindle speeds from 10 to 2,000 rpm. This range gives the machine enough flexibility for both heavy cutting and more controlled finishing operations.

The spindle is designed for large-part machining, with maximum torque reaching 3,650/3,740 Nm on the JPB160R and JHC160R models. The maximum radial cutting force is rated at 25,000 N across the series.

Stable Structure for Heavy Workpieces

A planer-type machine layout provides a broad and stable machining foundation for oversized components. The main structural parts are designed for rigidity and load-bearing performance, helping reduce unwanted movement during boring and milling.

The machine uses heavy-duty structural materials and precision-machined guide surfaces to support repeated machining operations. Exact material grades and component specifications can be selected according to the machine configuration and customer requirements.

03/

Wide Machining Range

The X-axis travel is available in 3, 4, 5, or 6 m, while Y-axis travel ranges from 2 to 3 m depending on the model. Z-axis travel is 2 to 2.5 m. The U-axis and W-axis provide additional spindle movement, with U-axis travel of 0.7 m on JPB models and 1.0 m on JHC models.

The B-axis table can rotate through 360°, making it easier to machine different surfaces and angles on large components.

04/

Flexible Tooling

The machine supports a 40-piece tool magazine as standard, with options for 60, 80, or 100 tools. Vertical milling heads, universal milling heads, extended milling heads, flat milling heads, and other specialized heads can also be configured according to the machining application.

Key Advantages

Built for oversized parts:

With X-axis travel up to 6 m and table loads of up to 30 tons, the machine is suitable for large components that are difficult to process on conventional machining centers.

One machine for multiple operations:

Boring and milling can be carried out on the same platform, reducing the need to move the workpiece between different machines.

360° rotary table:

The B-axis provides full table rotation, making it easier to access different faces and machining positions while keeping the workpiece securely positioned.

Strong cutting performance:

The 31/37 kW and 44/45 kW motor configurations provide the power needed for demanding machining applications. The 160 mm spindle models offer particularly high spindle torque.

Flexible configuration:

Different machining heads, table sizes, tool magazine capacities, and other options can be selected according to the actual production process.

Familiar CNC control:

Siemens 828D and FANUC 0i systems are available, giving operators two widely used control options for different production environments.
