CNC Planer Type Boring Mill
Product Description
For large, heavy workpieces that need boring, milling, drilling, and multi-surface machining, a CNC planer type boring mill offers a practical combination of working range, rigidity, and flexible axis movement. Unlike a standard machining center, this type of machine is built around a large floor-type working area, making it a better fit for oversized components that are difficult to move or clamp repeatedly.
The JPB130R, JPB160R, JHC130R, and JHC160R models cover different machining requirements, with spindle diameters of 130 mm or 160 mm and worktable capacities of up to 30,000 kg. The machine uses X, Y, Z, U, W, and B-axis movements, with the B-axis providing 360° table rotation. Depending on the model, customers can also choose different guideway configurations and machining heads to match their production needs.
Product Features
Large Spindle for Heavy-Duty Machining
The JPB130R and JHC130R are equipped with a 130 mm spindle, while the JPB160R and JHC160R use a 160 mm spindle. Both spindle sizes use an ISO 50 taper and offer a speed range of 10–2,000 rpm.
With maximum spindle torque reaching up to 3,650 Nm on the JPB160R and JHC160R, the machine has enough cutting capacity for demanding boring and milling work on large metal components.
Wide Axis Travel
Large components often need long machining strokes, and this is where the CNC planer type boring mill stands out. The X-axis travel can be configured from 3 to 6 m, while Y-axis travel reaches up to 3 m on JPB models and up to 4 m on JHC models.
The Z-axis provides 2–2.5 m of travel. U and W axes provide additional spindle or ram movement, while the 360° B-axis allows the worktable to rotate for multi-directional machining.
Rigid Machine Structure
The machine is designed with a heavy-duty structural layout to provide stable support during large-part machining. Rigid cast machine components help maintain stability when the cutting load increases, while the guideway arrangement is selected according to the machine configuration.
JPB models use a hardened guideway configuration, while JHC models can be supplied with linear or hardened guideway options. This gives buyers more flexibility when balancing machining requirements, speed, and machine configuration.
Flexible Tool Head Options
Different machining jobs call for different tool arrangements. The machine can be equipped with optional vertical milling heads, universal milling heads, extended milling heads, flat-head milling heads, or other suitable heads according to the customer's requirements.
A 40-tool capacity is available, with larger capacities of 60, 80, or 100 tools available as options.
Material and Construction
The main structural components are designed around a rigid cast construction suitable for heavy machining. The machine base, support structure, spindle assembly, and working table are built to handle the loads associated with large workpieces.
For long-term use, the actual material and heat-treatment requirements can be matched to the machine design and customer application. Tool selection and cutting parameters can also be adjusted according to the workpiece material, whether the job involves steel, cast iron, or other engineering materials.
