The product specifications of floor-type boring and milling machines cover multiple technical parameters, including boring spindle diameter, spindle performance, motion stroke, table load capacity, machining accuracy, and feed rate.
The boring spindle diameter is a key parameter for measuring the machining capability of a machine tool. Common specifications range from 130mm to 260mm, with some heavy-duty or super-heavy-duty models reaching over 300mm. Models such as FB130R1, TJK6916, TK6916, and HTM-160F have boring spindle diameters of 130mm, 160mm, 160mm, and 160mm, respectively.
The spindle system determines the cutting capability. The maximum spindle speed range is wide; economical or heavy-duty models may reach 1000-1500 r/min, while high-speed models can reach 4000-7000 r/min. The main motor power ranges from tens of kilowatts to hundreds of kilowatts. For example, the FB series motors range from 19.5kW to 58kW, the HTM-160F spindle power is 60/84kW, and the TK6916/6920 series main motors range from 30kW to 110kW.
The movement range of the machine tool is determined by the travel of each axis. The X-axis (column transverse) travel can be customized according to requirements, commonly ranging from several meters to tens of meters (e.g., 4000mm to 14000mm). The Y-axis (spindle box vertical) travel is usually over 2000mm to 6000mm. The Z-axis (ram forward/backward) travel is commonly 800mm to 1500mm or longer . The W-axis (boring spindle telescopic) travel is generally 600mm to 1200mm. The worktable is used to clamp workpieces. Its size and load-bearing capacity directly affect the size and weight of the workpiece being machined. Worktable sizes vary, ranging from 1400×1400mm to 3000×3500mm or larger. Load-bearing capacity can reach tens of tons; for example, worktables with load capacities of 8t, 15t, 25t, 40t, and 60t are available, and there are also rotary worktables with a load capacity of 30 tons.
Positioning accuracy and repeatability are core indicators for measuring the machining accuracy of machine tools. According to VDI 3441 or similar standards, high-end floor-type boring and milling machines can achieve a positioning accuracy of 0.010mm/1000mm, an overall length accuracy of 0.04mm, and a repeatability of 0.015mm.
Feed rate affects machining efficiency, and rapid traverse speed affects the efficiency of non-cutting time. The cutting feed rate range is typically 1-5000mm/min. Fast traverse speeds are even higher, with economy or heavy-duty models possibly reaching around 10 m/min, while high-speed models can reach 15-20 m/min or even higher (such as 35000 mm/min).
