Manual Horizontal Boring Mill

Manual Horizontal Boring Mill

JMB110 Series is a CNC horizontal boring and milling machine with a 110 mm spindle diameter, developed for large workpieces that require boring, milling, drilling and multi-face machining. The series includes JMB110AH and JMB110B, sharing the same X/Y/Z main travel while using different spindle and guideway configurations.
With 1800 mm X-axis travel, 1600 mm Y-axis travel and 1400 mm Z-axis travel, the machine provides enough working range for large housings, machine bases and heavy industrial components.

Product Introduction

Product Description

The JMB110 is designed around the requirements of large-part machining rather than small batch general-purpose milling. Its horizontal spindle allows the cutting tool to approach the workpiece from the side, which is useful when machining deep holes, large bores and several surfaces of a heavy component.

For customers comparing a manual horizontal boring mill with a CNC solution, the JMB110 provides automatic axis movement and CNC control while retaining the horizontal boring layout commonly associated with this type of machine. The 110 mm spindle is matched with an ISO 50 taper, while the spindle speed reaches 1500 rpm on JMB110AH and 2000 rpm on JMB110B.

The two configurations are not simply different names for the same machine. JMB110AH is equipped with a facing-head arrangement, including a 670 mm facing head, 7–165 rpm facing-head speed and 2000 N·m maximum torque. It also provides 200 mm U-axis travel. JMB110B, on the other hand, uses a different spindle-end arrangement and a higher 2000 rpm spindle-speed range.

For buyers replacing an older manual horizontal boring mill, the JMB110 offers a practical upgrade path when the work requires repeatable positioning and programmed multi-axis machining.

The machine provides 600 mm W-axis travel and 360° B-axis rotation, allowing the spindle position and workpiece orientation to be adjusted for different machining faces. The table supports up to 5000 kg, while the X/Y/Z rapid feed rate reaches 10000 mm/min.

Product Features

01/

110 mm Horizontal Spindle

The 110 mm spindle provides the working diameter needed for heavy boring operations while maintaining an ISO 50 tool interface.

02/

JMB110AH with Facing Head

The JMB110AH configuration includes a 670 mm facing head and 200 mm U-axis travel. This makes it suitable for machining large facing surfaces in addition to conventional boring and milling.

03/

JMB110B with Higher Spindle Speed

JMB110B reaches 2000 rpm, compared with 1500 rpm on the JMB110AH, and uses a different spindle-end configuration.

04/

Different Y-Axis Guideways

The JMB110AH uses a box guideway, while JMB110B uses a linear guideway on the Y axis. This gives customers another configuration point when selecting the machine.

05/

5-Ton Worktable

The table is rated for a maximum load of 5000 kg, allowing the machine to handle substantial castings and fabricated components.

Product Advantages

The main advantage of the JMB110 Series is that the customer can choose the machining configuration without changing to a completely different machine platform.

For work involving large facing surfaces and additional U-axis movement, JMB110AH is the more suitable configuration. For applications where a higher spindle speed is more useful, JMB110B provides the 2000 rpm spindle range.

The 1800 × 1600 × 1400 mm X/Y/Z travel also gives the operator room to machine relatively large components without repeatedly repositioning the workpiece.

Compared with a conventional manual horizontal boring mill, CNC control is particularly useful when the same machining sequence needs to be repeated across multiple workpieces or when several axis movements have to be coordinated.
